Hi
From time to time I receive emails from online music distibuters inviting me to join them and upload my songs. Presently, I have an account with Soundclick and one or two others but I've found it difficult to figure an advantage apart from setting up more storefronts in uploading to others. Maybe that is the main advantage. :)
Anyway, the crucial thing, it seems to me, is the amount of listener traffic an OMD is able to boast. These, after all, are the prospective customers and fan base. So, in considering a new OMD, I would be interested to know what it's business plan was for its own site promotion. I'd like to feel confident that it was carrying out promotion on its own behalf to drive traffic to its site, and thereby, to artists' pages.
Over time, I would like to see an upward trend using this tool:

I'ts a bit illuminating if you compare various OMDs traffic volumes. Extrapolate those results to potential customers.
