Does tunecore sell digital downloads?
If so, do I have to upload the entire album, or can I sell select tracks?

We're not actually a store, BlueStrat, we don't sell digital downloads. However, we do have a "discover music" page where you can learn about music by artists who use TuneCore.
We give people the chance to put up their own page (we host it), and put up their albums, talk about them, show the track listing, and have a link that takes people right to their album on iTunes where they can hear samples and buy them.
It's totally free, and so far it's a big hit!

Thanks for the reply. I use CDBaby for hardcopy distro, but I'm looking for digital distribution ala carte- I don't want to sell my recorded covers digitally, just my own stuff.
I'll check out your site.

Just an FYI Bluestrat, if you can't find anywhere to sell your music ala carte, you can always use INDISTR.com. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Kevin

I signed up for tunecore, and will give it a shot. I was able to upload my album minus the 3 covers. We'll see how it works.
I appreciate both the responses of Peter and Kevin. I don't mind doing business with guys who come here to answer questions professionally and be part of the forum, yet not be spammers. It's a hard line to walk, and you guys seem to be walking it well.

We do try. :)
Why minus the covers? You're certainly welcome to put up covers. We even sketch out the legal implications in our FAQ (http://www.tunecore.com/index/faq#Cover).

I didn't want to promote them nor pay royalties on them.
I paid it for the CD run, but I don't care to sell them digitally.
