Need Help for Computerized Recording

I'm new at this. I have demos of 2 of my songs. It only took a couple of hours with friends who had an amateur recording studio (a synthesizer, mixer and a couple of guitars). That was 15 years ago. I realize there have been many technical advances and I'd like to do it myself. I have a limited knowledge of music (drums, guitar and keyboard). Can someone recommend a simple computer program which can help me use my keyboard with a MIDI to lay in the tracks of my songs?
