That's nothing...I know a guy who bought that lame Jack Black/Ben Stiller movie...Envy, I think it was called. Hadn't seen it, but wanted the discount for buying three DVDs.

The new Die Hard rocks. Probably the weakest of the series, IMO, but I rented it to watch last week after already seeing it in theaters. I don't do that much these days.

There is a certain quality to formulaic action movies which can make "bad" ones kind of entertaining, no? I thought the latest Die Hard was as much fun as the others. Not a good movie - about as forgetable as they come - yet a thoroughly entertaining nothing of a film.
I used to teach a screenwriting course where I only showed bad movies, which is a great way to learn what NOT to do. One of the worst I liked to show was "Cutthroat Island". Truly bad. Execrable film. But I still find it wonderfully entertaining. Go figure.

Whenever I hear that a movie is one of the worst ever, I of course just HAVE to see it...unless it's something like a horror flick that's by definition bad. I like the ones that try to be good movies, but fail miserably. And your choice of "Cutthroat Island" for your screenwriting course was an excellent choice indeed!

I was disappointed. It started out okay, but got fairly predictable, and John Mcclaine as a character is almost an afterthought by the end of it.

I liked the latest Die Hard movie. I throught the preview was horrible, but a friend convinced me to go, and I enjoyed it. It's a lot better than DH2 and DH3 (but that's not saying much), plus lots of 21st Century effects.

Me likey!
