Dish.

Cable companies (that's right, all of them) have the worst customer service imaginable. Comcast being the primary offender. Of the lot, Time Warner treated me the best. I'm currently with DirecTV and they've been awesome.

I have Comcast for phone and internet service. My employer pays for that except for my personal home phone of course. I have Dish for TV service and would love to switch it to Comcast to save money with the bundle. But Comcast doesn't have the Italian RAI channel, which my mother-in-law watches. If they did, I'd switch over in a heartbeat.

I have no real complaints with Dish overall but they did not offer a broad band internet connection when I needed it and those stormy days really suck for reception. It seems to happen a lot during football season which is when I watch the most TV.

I've had pretty good luck so far with Comcast customer service but over 3 years, the service has had very few interruptions. I haven't had cable TV for a long time, so I can't speak to the reliability of that service. I've had the phone service for about 6 months and am pretty happy with it overall. Have had a couple of service interrupts but they were minimal and I don't really use the phone all that much. Plus, I save at least $30-40 per month on my home service. My internet connection is the most important tool I use and that has been very good overall - very few interruptions overall.

One good reason for cable is that you help support local cable channels, esp the public access channels. They are the last and only free speech medium on television.

I have cable internet, which is comparable in price to DSL. The only time I've ever experienced any interference with the dish is when it was caked with a few inches of snow. Nothing a stepladder and a broom can't fix.

Sorry about the delayed reaction. Forgot I posted on this thread.

Comparable in price to DSL+phone line, that is.

I have DirecTV also. It is worth it just on the customer service alone. Cloudiness doesn't seem to bother my dish at all.
