Okay, my computer is overrun with viruses. I need to wipe the C drive and reienstall windows XP. The instructions say I need to make sure the boot order looks at the CD rom before Windows boots up - which I've done...I can hear the CD spinning and its reading it but, still boots up windows anyway - whch emediatly fails and it shuts down. Frustrating.

Anyone help?

Are you sure you are booting off your CD?? You need to go into your system BIOS when you boot (usually press DEL on most machines) to change the boot settings. If you are booting off your Windows CD then it should give you the option to run setup again.

Is your CD good? No damage?
Is it a full CD? Many pre-built PCs come with just a recovery disc.

Try turning off your boot from HDD option - make them all floppy or summat.
