Peavey was showing their effects from Damage Control. They sound great and use actual tubes, but they run around $500 each -- too expensive to be floor pedals IMHO. I suggested they repackage them as rack mount units, and sell that as guitar preamps/processors for recording...sort of like the guitarist's equivalent of Avalon gear. I doubt the average guitarist could afford a bunch of these, but I think some of them would make great backline for a studio.

TC Electronic showed two floor pedals for vocalists ("why should guitarists have all the fun?"), the Nova Delay (very similar to a 2290) and Nova Reverb. They were part of the growing number of vocal processors, including things like the DigiTech VL2 and VL4, and new products from TC-Helicon. More on this in the videos...

My Timeline cost $399 actually. Though if you choose to include the price of a MIDI foot controller, then I guess that would take total investment cost to $500 and beyond.

Hey Craig,
The Nova Delay and Nova Reverb from TC Electronic are for guitarist (or keyboardists or anyone else). The TC-Helicon VoiceTone Pedals are the ones specifically for vocalists. They were voted "Product of the NAMM Show".

Well Mike, I haven't edited the video with you yet so I was running from my NAMM-fried memory! Thanks for the correction.

Oh, and if I didn't say it before, thanks for the reports from NAMM!
Did you get a chance to see EHX's new pedals (Holy Stain, New Stereo Memory Man, etc.)?

You might be surprised at the amount of money guitarists are willing to pay for their foot pedals! I expect they'll have to drop their prices to sell as many as they'd like but I doubt they'll struggle that badly.

No kidding! Especially when it comes to boutique analog delay pedals. Moogerfoogers are up there too and are gaining in popularity because of the Red Hot Chilipeppers.

Absolutely. Those new Eventide pedals aren't cheap at all either. I mean they're all amazing things, especially the Moogerfoogers but still, too pricey for me!
