Well Photoshop has some issues with latency and doesn't seem to want to hook up with the Korg Karma to well, not to mention the bit rate and sample rate are just plain horrible. Cubasis on the other hand, has a heck of a time cropping X's out of the picture and won't print to HP products. Not to mention has a heck of a time getting rid of the dreaded 'red eye'. But best of luck either way!

I would say Sonic Foundry's Vegas is about as easy/hard to use as Photoshop. Illustrator, on the other hand, is more in line with Logic, as far as ease of use goes.

Whether it sucks or not isn't really the issue - ease of use is. It took me probably two years of on and off use to get comfortable with Illustrator. I never spent that kinda time with Logic, but they seem similarly difficult to use.
