Has anyone tried both? I have Gigasampler and love it, but it crashes quite a bit and support from the company is less than stellar. I would consider buying Halion if it is 90%+ capable of doing what Gigasampler does.

Thanks,
Wes

i have both . ive had a lot of trouble with gigasampler and their almost non existent tech support. but i got my problems worked out and love it. the sounds are the best i've ever heard. try disabling the power managment on your computer in start up mode. this solved a majority of my problems. halion is a little more involved as far as loading files saving performances etc but might be worth it. you can use different
types of files on halion, including gig.s in the 1.1 version. its nice not to have to go back and forth between gigasampler and cubase while working, halion intergrates right in. i think its the way im heading even though halion is new to me.
do you know any where, where folks trade their gig files? i'd be more inclined to buy one of those awesome $300 sound libraries if i knew cuold trade it for more sounds. chris v
