I was able to get cubase vst32 of a friend but have no way of reading the manual as he still has it, this is my first experience with computer muli-track recording so bare with me...
i have an sblive soundcard (i know its not very good but i have no other option, right now) and i can get audio to be recorded in cubase but there is about a half second delay on the input signal, any suggestions on how to over come this ? thanks for your help,
matt

is it a legit version of cubase, or is it a pirated copy? why not try purchasing a copy of it... it will solve 90% of your problems... for the other 10%, ......

cubase is hard enough to figure out with the manual. it's very complex. i'd suggest getting n-Track which is $63 for the 24 bit version. check it out at www.n-Track.com. (http://www.n-Track.com.)
btw, there is an online help file that has just as much info as the manual. and, there's a book called "cubase power" you can buy.

Cubase needs a dongle to start, so it seems legit.
The question deals with latency. uninstall your current SB drivers and install these to alleviate the delay

and here is the cubase forum

Invest in getting cubase power if you don't have the manual. I think

In your cubase disc there is manual for cubase. Latency is in your soundcard.
