I just am getting started with Nuendo. I opened a new project but i can't seem to record anything or if it is recording it's not playing back. My connection is working because I have no problem recording on Cakewalk

I thought Nuendo didn't support MIDI? If that is the case than you can use Cubase or your Cakewalk program to record the MIDI, but you would then have to record it as audio and then import it into Nuendo. So you may have to start out in another program first. Unless Nuendo does do MIDI, which I thought it didn't.

When I start a new project it says Midi on some of the track spaces. You heard it didn't support midi??? Could you find out for shore and get back to me?

Thanks,
Bill

Check out this link right here:

I guess it does support MIDI alittle bit, but it is primarily an audio based program.
