Hmm. What version of Winblows are you running?
I'm running Cubase with an AMD Athlon 700 and
Viper (Nvidia) 550 AGP graphics without any problems
under Win98.
You might try re-installing the software because if I
remember correctly it detects and optimizes to current
hardware box. Also what sound card are you using?
Goodluck!

Did you reset the PNP settings in the BIOS as well? give us a run down of your system?

What SB card do you have Styrerra. I just upgraded mine
to the SB Audigy Platinum and so far so good. Not bad
for the $199 price tag.

Graham,
I just went through that drama trying to get Cubase VST 5.0 running on a friend's PC. The solution was too simple to imagine. Before you start Cubase run the ASIO Multimedia Setup test in the Start menu. After that start Cubase. It took me many hours, re-installs and years of my life to find this out. http://acapella.harmony-central.com/wink.gif

Platinum. I should change my quote, I went back to the original drivers and tweaked using the settings here:
http://web.ukonline.co.uk/hybriduk1/sf2/sf-tips.html#set1
I don't know about Audigy but in Platinum it's a big difference when you uninstall the dos drivers and disable 'sb 16 emaluation' I knew about some of these tweaks before but with these one it's down to 10 ms. The first big difference was when my start up time was cut in half. I eventually re-installed and de-installed some windows regedit's and programs, now start up time is 15 seconds.
Look in the Microsoft Knowledge base and enter your error code
