They have a lot of rules over there, and I don't believe they apply equally to everybody. Thats just my opinion though.

So here I'am :D

Those cork sniffing motherfuckers!

You're only allowed to review gear that's in your profile, and god forbid if it isn't some Benevante with 6 strings and pickup covers that look like rocks.

? whiskey tango foxtrot, over ?

Are you sure there wasn't a good reason? TB doesn't seem to be just random.

BTW, those who feel it isn't 'fair', just remember, it's like ref'ing a game, you have to do your best with what you see.

you posted a link to 'sign up' for another website. I clicked around and saw no GBE 750 review clearly found.

I hope this doesn't break Talkbasses rules. I have been writing content for a website recently, and one of the things they published was my review of the Genz Benz GBE 750!

Check it out http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=30688

Fuck you and your ignorant self. TB has a review section that Mark was more than able to post a review in... and still is.

http://www.talkbass.com/reviews/

If the link posted on TB was actually to a review... it most likely would have floated, but it wasn't... it was a link to sign up for another website with Mark's referrer ID

Uhmmm, you're not supposed to be sniffing the corks, you're merely supposed to check the cork to make sure that it is the same cork that was originally put in the bottle, i.e. nobody bought the bottle, drank the wine and re-corked it. If they're sniffing corks then they really are poseurs.

I got an e-mail from Willplayforfood explaining the decision. Unfortunately it was after I started this thread.

I reposted the thread without the link, and I'll cut and paste the review.

However, since you're a mod over there, may I suggest the procedure be explain- then delete?:D

I have it on good authority that TB is for bedroom geeks... :p

There's one thread on there right now where a guy bought a matching pair of Stingray HHs and wants to buy a cheaper bass for "gigging"....

... and most touring, recording, producing and session pros... ;) :p

I haven't seen Manring or Steve Lawson here lately, but hey, what do I know right?? ;)

I will say that it is just a tad more political than here, but with what, 50X the members, they do have a lot more to control.

I just browse the Classifieds all day. :) Some of the stuff that pops up there is just awesome...

I was taught it was to check to see if the cork had gotten contaminated by bacteria. But I was also taught it was only really necessary in bottles that had been in storage for a couple years or more. the fraud angle was not covered :)

well, since i'm a mod over there too, i'll address the suggestion. ;)

do you have any idea how much -crap- we get to wade through over there? if we explained then deleted it would be a -mess-. paul has us there to keep messes from happening. -shrug-. in situations like this, different mods might respond differently - some might just delete the offending link, some might delete the thread, and others, like me, might edit the post to say something very embarrassing, depending on my mood. :).

all this aside, i'd still be interested to see the review :).

I don't like people slamming other boards. TB has a lot of rules, but they also have a fuckload of traffic, so they need 'em.

If you don't like it there, STFU and don't go there .
