Can anyone help ?

I am trying to use Absynth with Pro Tools Free on a G3 Powerbook.

Following the step-by-step instructions in the DirectConnect guide that came with PT, I have :

- set up one MIDI channel that connects with Absynth via OMS
- set up one stereo Aux channel

The MIDI is transmitted to Absynth via Pro Tools OK, but I can't get the audio back from Absynth into Pro Tools.
What should the input to the Aux channel be set as ? The only option that is close to what I would expect to need is the Tokyo Plug, but I don't seem to be given any option for Absynth audio....

Please help - this is driving me nuts !

Nick

Anyone ?

Anyone...?

Bueller......?

BUELLER....!?!?

Anyway - I reckon I'm missing either a .dll file in the folder "System : Extensions : Native Instruments"

or

A file called "Absynth DirectConnect Plug" (or similar) in the folder "System : Extensions : Pro Tools : Plug Ins" (or similar).

Does this jog anyones memory ?

Cheers for any pointers....

For what it's worth, I have had the newer version of Absynth (demo) working from within Logic Audio on a G4. It was a matter of installing absynth (I think this is right) and then it installing itself into the correct place (I think it was the VST plugins folder) for logic..

Worth checking out some ProTools sites...
