noisy motu 828

[trismatik]

i think my 828 is rather noisy when i turn up the volume on the main outs monitoring
the inputs. is this normal or do i have a defective product?
i've emailed to motu's tech-support, but has gotten no reply.
i know nothing is completely quiet, but this one has a buzzing noise compared to
my 2408. please help with suggestions. thanks.

There is some noise on my 828 monitoring outs as well, but nothing like a buzz.

I only get noise from my 828 externally when it has been running for a few hours. Background noise on the outputs has been minimal.
Try turning the unit off then on again (the old favourite), see what happens...
