View Full Version : Sequencer not recognizing synths patches

I have a Roland xp-30 and i sequence on Vision DSP. All is well but i cannot choose patches from
the sequencer, only from the keyboard. when i do change the patch the sequencer understands,
but does not show a change in the patch number. whats wrong? please help.

XP30 is a multi-timbral synth.
It sounds like you just need to put it in Performance Mode.
You 'do' know the difference between patch and performance modes, right?

yes i know the difference between patch and performance mode.
vision will record different patches, but all my midi tracks say the same thing, rather than listing the patch used. for example, channel 1- piano, channel 2-bass, channel 10-drums, but all will say something like 03/54/88. or something like that. weird but true. i do not know why!!!
