hello,

i was wondering how to go about using my mac as a live effects unit for acoustic/electric intruments... i'm using logic platinum and would really like to slap some complex effects on my live performance. i'm used to stompboxes, but they are limited, un-precise, and clumsy..

i'm assuming i'll need a bit more hardware than my 1/8" Apple audio input. i've heard that creamware has hardware capable of this, but i'm not sure. i'm ready to spend a few $$$.

also, it would be nice to have this synched to logic at the same time, so there is little mouse-clicking on stage, but that's not my main concern for now.

any help is appreciated, thanks.

Can't be done. Software effects cannot be run in realtime due to CPU limitations.
However, I haven't heard from anyone using a UAD or Powercore effects card that'll say differently.
