...Peak DV is the very first professional audio application to be released commercially forthe OS X platform....

What exactly does this statement mean? Are Pro Tools, Logic and Digital Performer not commercially released audio applications for Mac OS X?

Also, this is spam, no?

For what it's worth. This post obviously contravenes HC forum rules as far as spamming is concerned but as it's by such a large Mac based audio company that most if not all Mac music users have heard of, I thought I would email the company directly requesting they come back and discuss the thread they started rather than type out some spurious claims about their software and head off in to the night with no intention to return.

I do like Bias products in general, but am presently quite surprised that they would use a free forum in this way. It's probably some sales upstart ignoring common courtesy. Maybe we'll find out..

Check the original date of the posting. It might have been true in 2001. It's not true now.

That's a bit weird. Didn't even think to look.

Ha... don't I feel stupid.

One has to wonder why someone would register a new account simply to bump a post from almost 9 1/2 years ago.

The original post looks like it is from well before I started working at BIAS. I just saw an email from Rimmer to our support email account about this.

Let me know if I can help.

Best,

Cory

Thanks Cory.

Any responsible response from a company goes a long way with me these days. As you've probably ascertained, by reading the thread, that this was a way old post, therefore my original reasons for writing to Bias are somewhat skewed in the light of the dates of the original post. Feel free to pop in here in the future and post some experiences
