Help if you don't mind. It's good kama http://acapella.harmony-central.com/wink.gif
Just a quick one. I'm trying to mike in to my 7600 through 'mic in' and get no response, through rca's and get no response.Perhaps not enough signal on the shure dynamic mike. Ok So I've tried using my 4 track as a pre amp to get the voltage up. Not much luck. Is it best to go in through mic-in or rca's? Do I need a mike mixer/ pre amp?

Also keyboard output in through rca's?

regards

Mic's need preamplification and whether the 4 track you have will do this or not depends on the model. I wouldn't plug any mic straight into a computer's input at any time. Get yourself a little mixing desk that has switchable Mic/Line ins.

A keyboard is at line level and will work straight off though...

You need a mic preamp. Depending on how much you want to pay, there is a lot of good choices out there but if you are looking for something low price and pretty good despite it's price, go for a Presonus Blue Tube for like $139. Again, you can go with a mixer, mic pre-amp or higher end model but it all depends how much you want to spend.
