Mac thru Reason to Midi to K2000 to Logic

I've just got Reason for my G4 Powerbook and want to connect it to my K2000 sampler/synth- would the Midiman USB to MIDI cable be sufficient to do the job? don't think I need a MIDI thru as don't have another keyboard to control.
