I play in a big private party saturday night...we have to be costumed, so the whole band is going to dress as mexican mariachis and we are going to appear as the Los Borachos band :D ...I'm really looking forward to it, last year we played at the same party and it was a blast!!! Best crowd ever!!!

Who else is playing an halloween gig ?

I'm playing a short halloween-themed set on Monday night. Here's the shirt I wore last night, and I'll probably wear it Monday too:

Yep - got a big one tomorrow night too. It's a costume affair, so we're all dressing as gouls and zombies, except for our lead vocalist, who will be dressed as a mad scientist. We've got a big light show happening too. We'll open the show with our keyboardist doing part of "Toccata and Fuge in Dm", which seques into "Monster Mash".

Playing for a few hours out in the sticks in Sultan WA at a place called Bubba's Roadhouse. We play from 8:30 - 11:00 and the owner hired DJ to finish the night so that we can party with him.

Not sure if I am going to dress up this year or not.

We have one tonight. It's supposed to be a costume ball but we dropped the ball on figuring something out because we've been so busy.

It's at a place like an hour away, plus we need to load in around 7:30 and we all gotta work until around 5, so it's straight to the rehearsal space after work and then straight to the gig.

Whatever. Fuck it.

Playing tonight at the Walkbout 9-1:30 in Colorado Springs Colorado with the "No Nonsense Band". Wonder if we will do the extra hour. Remember 2:00 becomes 1:00 tonight due to the rolling back of daylight savings time.

I played a Halloween party last night... only one band member got costumed. Fun party, tho - they liked our music. The best moments of the night were when a gal costumed as a pregnant angel losing her balance and falling on the dance floor. There were feathers everywhere when we broke down and loaded out :)

Played a pub that we plaayed at last year for the halloween weekend. Costume party, tends to draw a good crowd to thebar!! Friday was dead, like 12 people in the joint (we took the gig as a last minute thing so we didn't have any time to advertise)... Last night was packed, the band was on fire, and the dance floor was packed!! We're on a good run with gigs every weekend, so we're getting tighter and tighter!

Played a killer halloween show on Saturday. Was more of a party, really...Lots of great bands and wicked costumes.

I went as Jack the Ripper:

I did have a cape, cane, hat and sunglasses...but they all come off by the time this pic was taken :)

We played for a lodge with a "crowd" that started out being about twelve folks..and ended up being 275 people. Got a two hundred dollar bonus check at the end of the night.

7 to 11.. gotta love those early night gigs.

We played 4 gigs in three days over the weekend, and play again on Halloween night. We're too old for costumes.

What a blast! EVERYONE was in costume, including us (the band). I was a "letterman" zombie, the other guitarist was Johnny Depp as the pirate, our keyboardist was the phantom of the opera, our (blond) drummer was a rasta man, our (male) lead singer was a mad scientist, our (female) second singer was Jane Jetson from The Jetsons, and our bass player was a young Jimmy Buffet in a white sport coat with pink crustations on his coat.

The intro/Monster Mash was killer, with plenty of smoke, blue lights, sound effects, and a great crowd. The crowds costumes were outragious too! You name it, and they were dressed like it; there was a human beer keg, a stacked nurse with a bond mustache and beard, lots of pirates, a guy that was half cowboy and half ostrich, Willy Wonka made an appearance, as did Nosferatu, and on and on!

The bar was really busy and the dance floor was full all night. Looks like they want us back again too. I LOVE halloween! ;)

Hmmmm.... remember way back... when Halloween simply meant dressing up as Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Mummy? This weekend we saw enough sexy nurses, french maid and Pimp's N Ho's to fill up an entire adult film convention.

We played 3 gigs over the weekend... two in full costume and one benefit in street clothes. We created an 80's hair metal joke band called Nuts N' Roses and created a medley from Paradise City, Here I Go Again, Talk Dirty to Me, Kickstart My Heart Cum On Feel The Noise.

Here I am as Yngwie Gransteen...

The Friday night gig was a promotional party for the local rock station. Some pics are here.

For all the alternative rock, 70's disco and 80's pop covers we play it was a refreshing change of pace to break out a little Crue!:D

We have a show tomorrow night. Not sure if I am dressing up or not. We are opening for a couple of bands that I really like, but have never had a chance to see, so it should be a fun night.

I got a gig this afternoon and am leaving to play it in about an hour. It's a duo gig at a small restaurant in downtown Charleston, SC from ten to about midnight.

I'll be playing an archtop into a small tube amplifier. The other cat will be playing acoustic and singing. We play a bunch or tunes we know or think we know.
