Premium Breedlove rosewood concert acoustic guitar c 20 R
Fantastic “Premier Class” Breedlove C 20 R in mint condition. A deep-body grand concert in rosewood and sitka, with premier class appointments.
This Breedlove was built in the Tumalo, OR shop and signed by Steve Henderson. They pulled their best woods on this instrument. Outstanding rosewood back and sides with the straightest most amazing grain I have ever seen in rosewood. Solid close-grained spruce top. I am very picky when it comes to guitar aesthetics – and this instrument is breathlessly perfect. The woods are perfectly book-matched. The grain is perfect – there is absolutely nothing that slows the eye as you ride a glance over it. I’ll say this just once more for emphasis – this guitar is insanely beautiful. If you are looking for a grand concert sized rosewood guitar that has a broader tonal spectrum and deeper bass than other grand concerts – this is the guitar. It surpasses rosewood Taylors, without question.
As with nearly all Breedlove guitars, it uses the JLD bridge system which adds tension to the guitar's top, increasing the tone and making the whole instrument more resonant. JLD compares it to a sound-post in a violin or cello which is a simple post that allows vibrations to transfer to the instrument's back, allowing the entire instrument to resonate. The bridge system also adds a degree of adjustability to the instrument's top, allowing the player to add tension to reduce rising action if necessary.
This grand concert has outstanding rosewood-voiced harmonics and a superior, balanced tone. The deeper body exudes a haunted dark pearly bass, which is complimented with a shimmering treble sparkle. The balanced string-to-string volume makes this instrument awesome for fingerstyle, blues, jazz, celtic, and Hawaiian.
This instrument is part of my cherished collection of acoustics. It sits importantly in the ranks of my small bodied Gibsons, Martins, and Taylors - and I never thought I would part with it. I’m reluctantly selling it to raise the insane amount of money I’m about to drop on the ultimate Ramirez 1a.
This instrument is in mint condition. I see no marks or scratches or wear on it, period. Maintained always in my temperature- and humidity-controlled music room in my non-smoking house. Comes complete with the original Taylor hard-shell case - also in excellent condition.
List price on the C20 Grand Concert, Deep Body, Non Cutaway is $ 3,199.00 before the rosewood upgrade. I have not seen a c20 with nicer rosewood than this one. Let me save you the heartache of looking for one.
