Flute Effects

Hi,

We have a flute in our post rock band and we would like our flute player to be independent of the studio effects of the studios that we are visiting. Does any one know any cheap and portable ones?
Our flute player is mostly interested in delays and reverbs. He will be using the auxiliaty sends on a mini console as preamp. Can you use guitar effect pedals to the sends of the console for the flute?

That should work fine, especially for reverbs and delays. I've sent tons of stuff through delays, and it usually takes it. Go for the Boss DD-6.
