Ha, well at least I'm in good company.:)
I finished paying off my new trumpet last week, so I'm very anxious for its arrival! I ordered a Kanstul 1600 from www.pickmusic.net (which is a GREAT place to work with). I got a bunch of mods from standard though, I think in total:
-scratch silver finish
-Bach-style 3rd slide stop and 1st slide hook
-round tuning slide
Its the first professional horn I've ever bought, and the first new one (ouch!). I'm very excited to have a nice horn finally!
As far as actually playing goes, I've been doing lots of tongue exercises and managed to play and hold a double-high F# the other night. I'm positive I won't be able to do that when I want to, of course, but that'll come!
Whats happening with you?

I'm still visiting when I can, but been out of town on and off before I have to report back to my classroom.
Been practicing my euphonium and my tenor trombone when I can. I'm anxiously waiting for the return of my tuba from the repair shop. Sent it off to have it chem cleaned and should get it back next week I hope.

Did Jazzy relenquish his moderatorship of this forum? i can see how the intense post volume would really get to a guy....

He isn't listed as a mod, but Jazzy is a Supermod I believe. I can only moderate this forum, but if needed Jazzy can moderate anything.
Besides, moderating the Bass Forum takes enough time as it is, and I think he also moderates a high-volume board elsewhere too (not eBassist, a different one).
