emu aps/kx/cubase problems

hi ..i have an old emu aps card that was working fine until i got a virus which messed up registry...after formatting drives and reinstalling cubase vst 5.01 r6 and emu xp drivers from emu site i cannot get win xp wizard to load drivers.any thoughts?

in the meantime i have downloaded kx project drivers...i have had some success but it seems difficult to load sfont banks........is there an easy way ? can i make a user bank as i would in emu aps of 30/40 sfonts ie drum kit/bass/arco strings etc so that i do not have to use lots of memory/

i need to get this thing working as i have bought a new pc which i am not linking to the net with cubase sx(emu emulator x/ p4 3.2 160gb 1024 ram) but it seems that cubase sx will not fully translate vst songs...ie velocity doesnt work when i put my old songs on new pc.........any thoughts on how i can work around this perhaps/

Can't help with your obsolete E-MU APS but I am wondering how can you run or use Emulator X without a current E-MU audio interface to be the software copy protection dongle?
