clarinet -> electronics

does anyone here run their instrumnet through electronics or know of some players that do?

ive been using a piezo wedged between the bell and the rest of the instrument to amplify it

im sure theres a better way....

the first half is a clarinet solo and the second half is with "the aaronzarzutzki band" which consists of strangers i met in the venue that day and at the performance the night before

Jeff Coffin runs through a ton of guitar effects with the Flecktones, things like envelope filters and harmonizers. He runs his using a small mic on the end of the bell, and I think runs his effects in a loop between a preamp and the PA.
