I have just bought my powermac G5.
getting Logic 7.
still havnt got an apple display yet though.
money money money....

Im thinking of getting the M-Audio Project mix.

is there any way of using more than the 8 channels on it.
I have 4 synths - 4 stereo channels or 8 channels
pod xt pro guitar and bass version - another 2 stereo or 4 channels.

and I want these plugged in all the time and other stuff so need a good few channels.
ideally stereo channels.

Dont want to get an analogue mixer though. i want a controller to control Logic

Any thoughts????

You can get 8 more channels via adat lightpipe.

The ProjectMix has some issues. First, the TRS line inputs are -10dbV only, they will quickly overload fed a +4dbu signal.

Second, support is very unknowledgable about the unit. I had several issues with T2 and DP, and they had no clue. It was as if they were completely untrained on the unit.

There's alot of fader studder with automation in PT. Also, it only works as a controller for anything but PT7, which must be the M-powered version, at an additional cost, the unit does NOT come with DAW software.

someone else has recommended a mackie universal.

I basically want something to plug everything in so I dont have to unplug things when I want to use different instruments and a controller.
Like I said ideally with stereo inputs for all the synths too

In basic terms could you advise me what I need.
