who do you play with?

Currently I'm playing bass bone with the SLV Big Band. Sat out for a couple of years and just started playing with them again a couple of weeks ago. I leave Sunday for a week long gig with the Colorado Brass Band in Gunnison, CO playing BBb tuba. Then when the new semester starts I'll be playing with the Adams State College wind ensemble as a community memeber playing BBb tuba there as well. I'm hoping to get a brass chamber group, or two, together this fall. Hopefully a brass quintet and possibly a low brass ensemble.

Currently, just the Community Band. Next semester, I'll be in:

Wind Ensemble
Jazz Ensemble (likely sharing some lead parts)
At least one brass quintet, possibly several brass groups
Show Band (small, fun pep band)

And if my college just has the two trumpet players from last year to choose from, I'll probably play in the Jazz Combo as a trumpeter as well (been a bassist for two years in that). I've got private lessons scheduled as well. Taking, not giving!

Next summer, I may try to start up some kind of funk/jazz group for the summer, maybe a Tower of Power style band.

I'm gonna be helping out the concert bands and jazz band at the summer music program this year, even though I'm not taking lessons.

I play guitar at church, but I rarely use the flutes there.

I mostly just go into public places and play them to solicit random attention and meet new people.
