Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A good friend of mine told about this thread! Hey Techristian!
Miss Mac,
How are you? How long have you been playing drums? I myself have been playing going on 19 years. Haven't posted on this forum for a while, been busy actually playing drums instead of talking about them. I play all styles of music. I, at one point and time was listed as the World's Fastest Female double bass (Pedal player)
http://www.extremesportdrumming.com/score/feet/feetrank2.html
I am officially in third currently
if you get a chance checkout my website.
happy drumming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss Mac,
For the record...
Hey, I'm also a female musician. Actually i'm a guitarrist but I started to take drum lessons this year, unfortunately I had to quit because of some issues, but I hope I can get back drumming soon.

I'm interested in what musical styles you all play? Who are your influences? What kinda stuff do you listen to for inspiration?

Don't listen to him....he's just a sly fox.

True, but if my attractive moniker along with my endless supply of charm and wealth don't do the trick then I'll just have to settle to discussing drums here on this board. ;)

Oh yeah, whenever I'm trying to pick up a girl in a bar I try to include the words "butt" and "cock" in as many centences as possible. That'll win them over; then they're all over me!...sheesh...
I'm sure your spelling must attract a lot of girls too... hehe...
Well if you really wanna know, my main influences are Soundgarden, Sepultura, Soulfly, Puya, Tool, Deftones and RATM. I also listen to a lot of Dream Theater and System of a Down but I can't say my songwriting reflects any influences from them.

English is just my second language as you've probably noticed by now so that's my excuse for sometimes improper grammar. :p
Anyway, you ever listen to Primus? I've seen a Primus show on video and there were girls in the audience but all the girls I know hate that stuff. If you've never heared them, you should check them out because the drumming is phenomenal...especially on the older material with Tim "Herb" Alexander.

I've listened to some Primus stuff but I don't have any cds. I'll borrow some from my bassist and give them a listen.

Suck On This(live), Frizzle Fry, Sailing The Seas Of Cheese. These three albums best represent their music imo.

Classic! :DI remember when I first played that song with my friends at school. Definately one of the best heavy songs ever written.

For Whom the Bell Tolls is a kick-ass song. If only I had more cymbals...
