Hey guys I decided on getting a new drum set and Im stuck with a little problem should I get 2 floor toms or 2 rack toms?
The rack toms are 14x11 & 16x13
The floor toms are 14x14 & 16x16
The set is going to be a 6pc 10x8, 12x9, 14, 16 ,22x18, 5.5x14,
What are your thoughts on the 14 and 16 drum
I probably would have to special order the floor toms and it will take longer to come in but if I go with the pre-package set it would come in a lot quicker. Comments please

Are you gonna use a rack system or stands?

I use a rack and my 14TT that is attached to the rack makes my Aux. Hi-hats sizzle (I have 2 hi-hats)

I prefer floortoms, easier to place, more stable...
But I am considering using a 14x14" hanging floor tom for the next kit I'll buy because I want to have 2, 3 or even 4 pedals at my right foot. The floortom legs would not be so handy.

It will be a 14x14, thats for sure.

Well theres your answer then,

Either move the hats or use floor toms. I'd still get the shallower ones though.

Why? Im assuming you like the punchier sound better?

Yes and they should be a better sonic match for your other tom sizes. Of course there is no guarantee.
