Does anyone make some sort of practice pad for kick drum work outs? I dont like having to work on my double kick while sitting at the drum set with the loud bass drum
I am just getting into drums and I want something where i can be in my livingroom sitting on my thrown watching tv or listening to the stereo while hitting the practice pad doing Rudiments and also be able to practice double kick.
Does anyone know of anything like this?
Thanks

Pearl and Gibraltar make a kick pad that stands up on legs and has a wide beater pad that accepts double and single pedals.

get a mesh head for your bass drum, they cost about 20 bucks I think, not too bad, but it goes right on your bass drum, and it's VERY quiet, you could practice at night if you wanted to, it DOES have SOME sound to it, unlike a practice pad, and the feeling of playing on it is alot better than playing on a hard ass practice pad. Mesh is the material that the drum heads are made out of on the high-end electronic drumsets. I have a whole set of them myself for my 2 toms, floor tom, snare and bass. I leave them on there so I can play anytime I want to. They are great for practice

i got one for my apartment so i could do foot work and have it be quiet, it is the gibraltar one and i would recommend it, it feels nice. it costs me about $50, but it is NO DOUBT worth it.

Is this " Practice Pad (http://www.gibraltarhardware.com/index.cfm?fa=series&sid=137&cid=35) " the one you have?
