These (http://www.highend.com/) guys make some of the nicest and best made (expensivo..) lights I have seen and used...
The guys that designed the Martin Mac 500/600's used to work for them and they shuffled off with the Highend Studio Spot design (their design although I don't know if it was legally their design... :) ) and went to Martin with it. It didn't go down well with Highend when the Mac came out.
Although the design idea was good, Martin did their usual cheesey build quality and and installed their suspect DMX software into them. The difference between the quality of Mac moving heads and the original HE Studio Spot is more than noticable. Check out a Studio Spot.. Nice clean and clear profile for sure... :D

Regards, Tom You know. Its pretty easy to tell if a light is wacky or not. You just have to turn it on and then you can tell.
