I like "Mr. Tambourine Man" the best as far as lyrics go.
I also love "Like a Rolling Stone."
I like Bob Dylan because he wrote both really long epic style songs with tons of words crammed in, but he also wrote really sparse, short, simple songs as well.
I also like him because he isn't of any one genre, he is is own genre.

I like "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright". There are some great lines in there, and it's one of the strongest melodies he ever wrote.

I'm a big fan of "Buckets of Rain" and "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright". He proved to the world that you don't have to sing in key all the time to be cool. Man, that guy is so rad!

Oh man, if anyone says Blowin' in the Wind, I think I'll go postal - that song is sooo boring and repetitive to listen to, it's like pulling teeth! :)

Has anyone heard 'Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie'? It's a spoken-word piece on Bootleg Series Vol. 1-3.

As I went out one morning
To breathe the air around Tom Paine's
I spied the fairest damsel
That ever did walk in chains
I offered her my hand
She took me by the arm
I knew that very instant
She meant to do me harm
"Depart from me this moment"
I told her with my voice
Said she "But I don't wish to"
Said I "But you have no coice"
"I beg you sir she pleaded"
From the corners of her mouth
I will secretly accept you
And together we'll fly south
Just then Tom Paine himself
Came running from across the field
Shouting at this lovely girl
And commanding her to yeild
And as she was letting go her grip
Up Tom Paine did run
"I'm sorry sir" he said to me
"I'm sorry for what she's done"

Terje - the theme of that song is a lot like John Keats' "La Belle Dame Sans Merci", which is one of my favorite poems of all time.
BrianMarshall - I hear you on that one - I can't listen to Leonard Cohen either, which is why I'm so glad Jeff Buckley covered Hallelujah :)
