...is that you folks are going to get me all excited about building all kinds of stuff and my house is going to get even MORE overrun with guitars and amps and pedals and projects and I'm gonna go broke and end up homeless.

Way to go, people :(

But DIY is cheaper, so you get more stuff for less money!

Think positive.

Guys---I need more stuff like I need another head. I've got 23 guitars, six amps, and all the associated flotsam and jetsam. I repair, modify and just started to build guitars. Recently started building amps. Got a rudimentary woodshop in my house. Then there's the paintbooth room. Not to mention the firearms/reloading and flyfishing stuff.

I'm a painting contractor, so the shed is full of THOSE tools.

You're going to drive me into bankruptcy, I just know it :(

Think positive. Unfortunately, that's not always true.

On the bright side, you get exactly what you want, or need.

You are right unless you are a major scrounger. If you are willing to dig around a lot you often can do it cheaper. But as you say, if you don't get it cheaper, you get exactly what you want.

It'll keep you warm when you get evicted. And if things turn around for you...it's a doormat.

I could bring up the 60% paralysis of my lower extremities, or my colon cancer, or my mental health issues.....but the whiner's forum is that way ----------> ;)
