Hey guys! I was wondering if anybody had some suggestions on a decent soldering iron. I'm looking to get into building pedals and whatnot, and I'd like to know of some good precision soldering irons.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! :D

I was given a Tenma model 21-1590 digital variable-temperature rig a few years ago along with a good variety of tips. I haven't run into a soldering job it couldn't handle yet.
Highly recommended.

You might want to consider a solder station instead of an iron.
I've been using a Hakko 936-12 for several years; very dependable product.

If you're gonna do a LOT of projects a station may be appropriate. For years I've just used a 25w Weller on an aluminum stand and wet sponge.

my ancient Ungar UTC 300 works really well for me. It's called a "Race Station"-it's left over my RC racing days. got a big tip, heats fast. . . might not be too good for real delicate stuff, though. . .
