...and while there might be a little honeymoon, it will be up to the mods to decide how on-topic this all should be.
So far, only a few threads need to be moved over to OJ. Let's keep it clean and wholesome and all about gear.
Ok?

Plus one.
It's two against one now. How do you think he'll take that?

Uh, I just evened up the odds. And since we can move threads, close threads, ban members, delete posts... we win. :p :)
Seriously, a little welcome hazing is expected, but the mods have full authority to run things here as they see fit. They're all very knowledgeable guys, and this forum is indeed a "moderated" forum, so as soon as they say the word, it's going to settle into an on topic resource for all things "Do It Yourself".
Beyond the initial good-natured fun, please don't make their task any harder than necessary. If you want to mess around, please take it to OJ. Thanks. :)

Everyone please note that this is a forum not only for building effects projects, but also guitars, amps, speaker cabinets and other musical related projects!

i hope this forum does settle down because the DIY across a wide range of topics is kinda unique...
...if it doesn't I suspect people will just go back to the other topic-specific fora that already exist.

The acoustic guitar forum has a nice sticky about what is appropriate and what isn't...
Some forums are more on topic than others here...
The Effects forum isn't just for effects, etc...
So, is this to be an on topic only forum?
I mean, DIY what?

You don't think I'm REALLY going to put MYK back into the fryer now, do you? ;) :D
Robo - you had a great idea. And there seemed to be plenty of interest, so we ran with it. Thanks for your contribution. :thu:

Is "building a soundproof room" on topic?
