Better volume? Does playing upper register notes suffer at all?

I think, generally, the bigger bore will actually make it a little more free-blowing.
I think some of Schilke's X series have bores about .465, and I'm positive Kanstul makes a few. Both are considered very free-blowing brands.
I'm not sure how such a large bore would affect range, though if you are playing extremely high and using an already small mouthpiece I don't think it'd be much difference.

460 is large?
My Connstellation has a 462 leadpipe, which is pretty small, but flares out a lot and ends up feeling bigger and more open than my Holton, which is a 468.

.460 is as large as several makers go, but obviously you have two trumpets that are larger.
