Dammit! When will women learn that those muumuu/smock type things just don't look good on any body/anybody!!
Still, I'm greatly enjoying these women. Clearly enthusiastic about their music, if not their pick grip. The stoner/punk douchebag in the background is also compelling.

Bad angle, bad lighting, nice boobs...oh, wait. I think I see what might be a low E-string, and some windings around the peghead...meh. Potato, tomato, I'd still hit it.

She has her own trio, and also plays guitar in a band called (after it's grrl singer) Bif Naked. Though I know there were some pics of the latter much earlier in the thread, I found a whole bunch of different pics of Ms. Black in Bif Naked, such as this pair (no pun intended):
http://www.herroyalmajestysrecords.com/bif/photos/20/15.jpghttp://www.herroyalmajestysrecords.com/bif/photos/20/14.jpg
Oh, and btw the way, her guitar is a "double fat" Strat. They're pretty popular in punk given the marriage of dual HBs and the more indestructible bolt-on design.

Actually, i think she's cute..... but yeah. One of the big "celebrity" (mostly ex-BB and other reality TV show contestants) scandal sheets in the UK, HEAT Magazine, has this week a cover-story special asking whether men prefer "curvy" or "Skinny". 85% plumped for "curvy". Thing is.... when you realise what those girls arel iek in reality.... the "curvy" they gave as examples included Jennifer Lopez...who in reality - out there in the real world, among real women - is pretty damn slim, i think...? She was the biggest of the "curvies" - must be, what, a UK 12 at most (US 10, i think??)??? WTF???
Freaks me out sometimes how conditioned so many guys are to look at anything above what is really quite petite as "fat", thus writing off the vast majority of real women....?
Am I just odd?

Wouldn't be my choice visuals-wise, but a guy i used to know in a band i once ran sound desk for had one.... oh, damn that was a great sounding bass.
My personal druthers would run more in a Fender direction, though I'm really GASing for one of those Di Pinto sparkly-mutant takes on a P-Bass right now..... but I'm veering OT here... :)

No, it's not just you.
It's crazy how our cultures define body image for women. I saw this gorgeous girl in her 20's on myspace the other day, and they have a place where you have the option of putting in your "body type" with a bunch of terms to choose from and she picked "more to love." WTF is going on with women? And men too, for that matter. It's a huge vicious cycle and very sad.
Of course, as a result of "heroin chic" women rockers get a double-whammy because all us rockers are supposed to be skinny.

Yeah, they actually are pretty decent basses. Our outgoing bassist in Crash Pad had a cheap Soundgear, and the probably-incoming bassist has a more expensive one. Our drummer (who also plays guitar and bass) has a nice one with 2 MM--style humbuckers in it, also very nice.

Dang, good eye.
She might not've done it for the jack placement but instead to get the switch further away from the strings. I can see how some people might tend to strike the switch unintentionally where it usually is.

That's a good point, yeah - like reversing the control plate on a Tele.... I suppose it depends where the switch is in relation to how you play... only guitar i ever had that problem on was my first electric - a Marlin Loner (sort of like a Jackson soloist copy, HSS, MT & MV, five-way switch) which i had Hendrixed.
Fwiw I actually prefer cable jacks on the rim rather than the face of a guitar.

Please read the first post in this thread. Some very clear ground rules were set up.
One was not to knock the looks of any particular woman pictured. This thread is not about women that we necessarily find attractive, it is about women who have the cahones to play guitar (and bass) in a male-dominated rock/music world. Thus any pic of a woman playing guitar or bass is not "unnecessary" unless you're criticising their looks, which I asked you not to do. If you want to do a "models holding guitars" thread do so, but don't bring this BS vibe into this thread please.
Thanks.

So it's ok for guys to say "that one makes me hard" but when I want to say "damn, that one with the red bass looks like a female version of Metallica's bassist" it's bad? I just see no need to post a photo that when most guys scroll down to it, they reel back in horrified shock, regardless of how talented she is or how well she can outplay my crappy self. Besides, I wasn't the only one to comment negatively on that photo. Ass.
And last I checked, just cuz a female player looks good with her instrument doesn't mean she's a "model with a guitar"....but I guess if you like fugly ones with guitars better than ones that look decent, to each their own I say.

This is a simple thing. I asked the posters in this thread to have some class. Instead when you do something I specifically asked you not to do (and with reference to a specific photgraph I had already noted to others to drop the negative comments about), you respond with vulgarities.

I don't mean that in a sexual way at all. I have full respect for her musical abilities and such.
But damn, those legs.
Whoops, missed that page. :) Yeah, she was hot when I was a pre-teen in the late 80's and still is as evidenced by the bottom photo. Her husband is a lucky guy I'll tell you that.

She sounds like a *cough* female Michael Angelo, and I do believe she's the first woman I've ever heard play like that. Her name's Katrina Johansson, for those intrigued.

Thanks for the pics and comments guys. And Yngtchie, yes I do encourage posters to include the name of the gal or group in the photos posted, if known.

You know, I don't know her name, but I think in this ADA mp-1 ad that has like 20 ADA artists on the cover there was this girl with a guitar and I've heard that she's a shredder but I just can't remember her name. I'll try to post a pic of the add later.

Further proof that at least 11 out of twelve ladies prefer the Gibson SG (and I'm pretty sure the 12th is an SG too).
