They played reunion shows not too long ago in both Charlotte and Atlanta - I saw them 4 or 5 years ago at a reunion concert that Fetchin' Bones played, with a really pregnant Hope Nicholls (lead singer) - great band - should've made it huge

I'll check try to that out too. Sticking to guitar forum stuff- she was cranking a Mustang throught what appeared to be a small Fender amp and had some awesome guitar sounds live.

Amen. My dad was a longtime USN officer, 20 years or more. Deployments suck, but the navy's good steady work with good benefits. Although I often disagree with what the US government decides in sending our people into harm's way, don't think for a second I don't very much appreciate the service men and women themselves and the sacrifices they make.

Whatev. I never could stand that accent. Am happy to say I haven't heard it in person since the early 70's. Besides, there's some vartiation of course; what I wrote is somewhere between the 2 examples wiki uses:
t's become d's, disappear entirely, or blend with other sounds in a word; 'hunter' becomes 'hunner', 'Baltimore' becomes 'Baldimore' or 'Ballimer'.
