Actually, last time Dream Theatre was in Denver I got to check out John Petrucci's rig. Right on stage at Red Rocks, got to play one of his guitars and stood two feet in front of his cabs. His "dry" sounds are more effected than any of my wet sounds! It was fun, but I'm still holding out for The Edge! :)

Gotta say I agree with this. Of all the guys out there with kick-ass rigs, I think the Edge has the one I'd most like to screw around with.
Ever looked at his control setup? It's pretty intense.

Ive got the CAE 3+ and the 3+SE Preamps in my Rack with an RSB-18 Bradshaw switcher and a pair of VHT 2150s which power both of them and a Bogner Fish preamp(#013)
The older 3+ has a bit more growl and girth over the newer 3+SE but Mustaine & Friedman used both.
Good choice for preamps you mentioned:thu:
