I know Paul Unkert very well. He'll have his Bluegrass group playing.
Jerry Topinka is giving a clinic an will perform.
Jerry is one of the best guitarist/musician that I've ever seen/heard. Jerry teaches at Freehold Music.
Anyway, I'm probably going.
If I do, I'll try to sell 2 or 3 guitars that I'll walk in with.
Nothing earth shattering with these guitars....maybe 2 Agiles and a Larrivee D 03.

my dad has known him since highschool, whenever i need a tune up i go over to his shop. He's a great player himself. Pat Karwin is his cousin and my guitar teacher, he is the greatest guitarist I know. I probably will see you there, but I won't know who you are and vice versa. I love how the brocheures say "no playing stairway to heaven".

I am glad I found this thread. I had no idea about the show. I usually don't stray too far from the FX forum. Thanks for the heads up.
I am going to try to make it. I don't really need anything at the moment, nor do I have anything to sell, but I would like to go look through all the stuff, I'll be the guy with the pony tail. :D

BTW........
I'll be selling (or trying to) my Larrivee D 03; Agile Valkyrie Prestige and 2500 P90 Cherryburst at the show. It's a one day attempt to sell in person. I don't ship guitars.

I'm not a vendor at the show.

just asking again
i've been wanting to buy a les paul for a while. looking for anything between $600-$2000, depending on how good of a deal i get.
never been to a guitar show. is it a good place to buy something like that?

I've only been to a few shows and its been hit and miss. A lot of times the prices are listed way high for the product. Especially true with a popular model like the Les Paul. At the end of the show you may find vendors willing to dicker more.

Anything that is reasonably priced usually gets gobbled up quick either but the vendors themselves or by early shoppers.
These shows have gear priced at market value or higher. There are very little bargains or finds.
I go to these shows either to sell off some little used gear or to buy some needed parts or accesories.............although I've been lucky with some guitar buys here and there.
