I'm a classically trained violinist and teacher(as well as a guitar hack) and have also studied cello.

It IS very different from playing guitar, although the first 4 frets roughly correspond to the first 4 semi-tones on the cello.

Hooo man!!! I would LOVE to play that kinda stuff in a band....like "Strange Deja Vu" for instance......some of that stuff teeters on the edge of being orgasmic!

I was thinking of chopping the intro and outro of "Finally Free" and singing it for the vocal solo division of our upcoming school music festival.

Another one I thought of was "Another Day" by DT.....but I doubt I can pitch that (let alone simultaneously play a guitar). Any thoughts?

This has been my "listen to headphones while I fall asleep" collection recently in regular rotation.

Uncle Kracker "No Stranger To Shame". Other than the 2 rap-rock songs, this is a great collection of tunes that hint at Seger, The Eagles and Nashville.

Guns N' Roses "Appetite For Destruction". "That band" for me. They were everything to me when I was 18 and I'll never find that with another group.

Oasis' "Heathen Chemistry". One of my favorite bands. I love Noel Gallaghers ability to write and play. I'm still trying to get into this album. There are some cuts that stand out to me.
