MY GOD is this frustrating! Unless I'm wrong and I've read as much of the digidesign website as I can gut, I have to BUY LE 6.9.2 now that I have the Tiger OS.
I only have LE 6.1 and the free upgrades only go up to 6.4 before you have to buy new software.
Sonofabitch! I wished I would've bought Logic or something else now.
Can anyone help? Am I missing something?

No, you're right, you need to spend the $75 to upgrade. But you do get new features too.

The only thing you will be missing is $$$. Hell, every app sooner or later updates and will charge for that. It is something you just have to accept, unless you start building your own application. Still, now would be a good time to review all the other DAW apps out there. Before you spend money on ProTools, look around a bit and see what else people have to offer.:D

It's not that you're missing anything, but OS upgrades can be dangerous to the health of your existing apps that you rely on to do the stuff you bought the computer for in the first place.
I know it sucks....there's lots of people in the same boat who went Tiger and "broke " their existing software. Even mfrs. that had free updates ready for Tiger's launch created unexpected problems for their users.
Sometimes it's better to let those OS upgrades sit for awhile.

You would be spending more $75 for Logic upgrades. Not to mention the intial cost of Logic(Pro) itself is more than the Mbox with Pro Tools included.

Thanks for the reply guys. I jumped on getting Tiger cause I know a guy that works for Apple down here and he said he'd give it to me for free. I asked him if I was gonna have any problems with anything and he said no.
So far Dreamweaver and Protools don't like Tiger but everything else works fine so far. This 12" powerbook G4 is my first computer and everything has worked so well I just assumed that there would be no issues but now I know better.
I'll go get the $75 upgrade and just deal with it. I know the Mbox is the bottom of the barrel for Protools so I'll just suck it up and pay. :o

I hear that Austin had one of it's many heydays in the early 90s. I got here in 2001 right when the Tech Bubble burst. :o
I still think that Austin is quite happening these days what with ACL Festival and such.
Thanks fer checking out my tunes. :)

not trying to be an asshole, but if you read digi's site before upgrading you would've known that you'd need 6.9 and that it was $75. not to mention its new and probably still has plenty of bugs.
IMO its best to not be at the cutting edge of whats new. wait until its stable and you really need it.
so i guess its either upgrade or go back to panther.
